If you play the trumpet for the first time, you really should:
  • do not go to high notes your lips will explode and then you wont be able to play no more   
  • not play to long itll hurt take breaks (nick deleon)

  • learn finger positions   
  • learn to read music   
  • learn how to take breaths while playing   
  • pretend to know what your doing   
If you play the trumpet you should always:

  • breathe   
  • warmm uppp!!!!!!

  • take breaks and heat up the trumpet

  • have fun

  • do mouth warm ups

If you play the trumpet you should never:

  • not eat candy   
  • play on a cold mothpiece. it messes up your lips if you have sensitive lips   
  • eat cheese   
  • play the notes on the page   
  • eat sugar first   
  • oil your valves with anything but valve oil!   
  • try to learn the digeredoo- it messes up your embochure   
  • chew gum while playing   
  • try to play really high notes that you know you can't play without a lot of practice. it pops your ears and splits your lips   
  • dont chew food

  • never laugh suddenly because you might swallow the trumpet

  • a soundproof room (neighbours)   
If you play the trumpet and you want to push the limits, try to:
  • blast notes through it as loud as you can just to annoy people   
  • dont push to the limits!! over alot of practice you will eventually be able to play louder and higher, but it is not good to just pick up the horn and blast high notes!   
  • take a really long breath and blow as hard as you can   
  • always announce your next song to the neighbouring listeners via your stereosystem
